1/4" Industrial Style & Schrader Valve to 1/4" SAE 45-degree Flare Fittings | Adapters to Winterize Blow Out Backflow Preventer and Pressure Vacuum Breaker (PVB) for Sprinkler System | Lead-Free Brass

These fittings may be used to connect an air compressor and bike tire pump to a backflow preventer valve (a.k.a. pressure vacuum breaker) for winterization purpose. Packaging is reusable. A generalized procedure to winterize backflow preventer using compressed air and bicycle tire pump is provided on the packaging.

• Package contains: (1) 1/4” Industrial Style to Female 1/4” SAE 45° Flare and (2) Schrader Valve to Female 1/4” SAE 45° Flare Fittings
• Note: Most backflow preventers have either male 1/4” SAE 45° Flare or female NPT connections (see image), although some backflow preventers may have other sizes fittings. The fittings in this package will fit male 1/4” SAE 45° Flare connection only. The thread outer diameter must be about 0.43” (please see picture). They will not fit female NPT connection. Please check your backflow preventer before purchasing.
• For your health and safety, this brass fitting is made of lead-free brass which contains less than 0.25% lead. Lead-free brass costs about 30% more to manufacture than regular brass. Lead-free brass is also harder, stronger, and more durable than regular leaded brass. Always wear safety goggles when handling or using compressed air.
