For used barrels, employing the Fine hone, followed by the Fine, effectively removes rough and tight spots, yielding a bright, visible, and tactile finish. It's recommended to run a patch through the barrel before and after honing to observe the significant improvement. During the process, tight spots can be detected and smoothed out with extra attention. For new barrels, the Fine hone alone enhances the factory finish to a stunning, mirror-bright appearance. The system is user-friendly - simply attach it to a variable speed electric drill, apply Flex Hone oil, start the drill, and insert the hone into the barrel from the breech end, if possible. As the hone operates, a slurry of abrasive and oil forms, facilitating the cutting action.
