The tales in this book, "Don Roberto Big Game Fishing," chronicle how my life and skills evolved as I delved into the world of big game sportfishing in the greatest arenas of the mid-to-late 1980s. The inspirational characters and events along the way would eventually lead me to focus entirely on hunting and capturing what is undoubtedly the grandest and most challenging fish of all, the "Broadbill Swordfish." These are the stories that led me to dedicate all my fishing skills to focus on a quest to capture Broadbill Swordfish, among other pelagic species I hunted. As a fisherman, my passion was born of a lust for adventure, pitting my skill against nature and the elements. This book, "Don Roberto Big Game Fishing," recounts how my perceptions changed and eventually led me to become a commercial longline fisherman, pursuing Broadbill Swordfish, regardless of the risks or where the voyages took me.
