This axle is designed specifically for 60" wide I beam boat trailer frames. This 3,750lb Galvanized Boat Trailer Torsion Axle by Knott-Autoflex is designed for superior performance and durability, featuring a V-bend center that provides optimal clearance for your boat's hull. With a hub face (track width) of 73 inches and an outside bracket measurement of 60 inches, it's the perfect bolt on replacement for axles on 5-foot-wide I-beam frame boat trailers (Mounting Hardware is not included with Axles). Equipped with galvanized 5-lug idler hubs, a greasable spindle, and a 1.98-inch Accu-Lube style dust cap, maintaining your bearings is quick and easy. This axle also includes a standard 4-hole brake flange, compatible with disc brake systems from top brands like Knott, Kodiak, DeeMaxx, and Dexter. The torsion arm is set at a 20-degree down angle for improved handling and support. Knott’s galvanized torsion axles are specifically designed for saltwater environments, offering superior resistance to rust and corrosion compared to standard steel or painted axles. This makes them ideal for boat trailers and jet ski trailers frequently exposed to harsh conditions. The pre-installed hubs use a 3.5k-3.75k capacity bearing combination, featuring a 1 3/8-inch inner bearing (L68149) and a 1 1/16-inch outer bearing (L44649). The hub seal size is 1.72 (or 1.619). The standard ½"x20 lug nuts fit a 5 on 4.5-inch bolt pattern. Although brakes are not included, the 4-hole brake flange allows for easy installation of disc brakes or a switch to drum brakes if needed. The hubs come pre-greased with lithium-based grease, ensuring they're ready for immediate use, though additional grease can be applied before use if necessary.
